1. Introduction

Vam Sync ("Vam Sync", "we", "us", or "our") is a multi-Google-Drive dashboard that helps you organize, search, and collaborate across your own Google Drive accounts from a single place. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Vam Sync, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

By creating a Vam Sync account or connecting a Google Drive account, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Vam Sync.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to run your account and the features you choose to use:

  • Account information — the details you provide when you create a Vam Sync account, such as your display name and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication; we never see your plaintext password).
  • Google account email — the email address associated with each Google Drive account you connect, used to identify and label that connection.
  • Creator username — an optional, self-chosen public username used if you publish content through Creator Hub, Hive Share, or Hive Drop.
  • Phone number (optional) — if you choose to enable phone verification, we store your verified phone number for account security and recovery purposes.
  • Recovery backup email — an optional secondary email and/or recovery PIN you may set up so you can regain access to your account if you're ever locked out.
  • Usage analytics (basic) — limited technical information such as feature usage and basic app activity, used to keep Vam Sync reliable and to improve the product. We do not use this data for advertising.

3. Google Drive Access

Vam Sync connects to Google Drive through Google's official OAuth process so you can manage multiple Drive accounts from one dashboard. We want to be completely clear about how this works:

  • Vam Sync never stores your files. Your files, folders, and their contents remain inside your own Google Drive at all times.
  • Files stay in your Google Drive. When you view, upload, download, share, or move a file through Vam Sync, that action happens directly between your browser and Google Drive — Vam Sync's servers do not copy, cache, host, or pass through your file contents.
  • We never see your Google password. Authentication happens entirely through Google's own sign-in screen; Vam Sync only receives the authorization Google grants, never your credentials.
  • OAuth tokens are securely stored. The access tokens Google issues are encrypted at rest and used solely to make authorized Google Drive API requests on your behalf, for the scopes you approved.

You can review or revoke Vam Sync's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account's third-party access settings, or by disconnecting the Drive account from within Vam Sync.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the information described above only to operate and support the features currently available in Vam Sync:

  • Multi-drive dashboard — connecting, displaying, and letting you manage multiple Google Drive accounts in one place.
  • Universal Search — searching across your connected Drive accounts and Hive content on your behalf.
  • Hive Share — letting you publish files that others can copy into their own Google Drive.
  • Hive Drop — creating shared folder spaces where invited collaborators can access specific, invited folders.
  • Creator Hub — maintaining your optional public creator profile and the content you choose to publish.
  • Account Recovery — using your recovery PIN, backup email, or verified phone number to help you regain access if you lose it.

We do not use your data for any purpose beyond operating these features and keeping your account secure.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data, in whole or in part, to anyone.

  • Vam Sync does not run advertising and does not share your data with advertisers.
  • We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
  • We only share data with service providers (such as Google and Firebase) to the extent necessary to operate the app, and only under agreements that restrict them from using your data for anything else.
  • We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Vam Sync, its users, or the public.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to help keep your account and data safe, including:

  • OAuth for connecting Google Drive accounts, so your Google credentials are never handled by Vam Sync.
  • Phone verification as an optional extra layer of account security.
  • Recovery PIN and backup-email options to help you regain access without weakening account protection.
  • Encrypted communication between your browser and our servers, and encryption of sensitive stored data such as OAuth tokens.

No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

7. Your Rights

You're in control of your data. At any time, you can:

  • Disconnect a Google Drive account from your Vam Sync dashboard, which revokes Vam Sync's access to that Drive.
  • Delete your account, which removes your Vam Sync account information from our systems.
  • Remove recovery methods, such as your recovery PIN, backup email, or verified phone number, from your account settings.
